On our last day together, we spent it doing a few things in Marshall. Stephanie and Bryan left this morning to visit a friend, so we took off for the playground in Marshall. Caitlin had a good time, especially running around with other kids. She loves to slide and this one had an electric atmosphere.
We walked across a bridge to another playground and on the way back she decided she wanted to be carried. Grandpa was happy to oblige.
After her favorite lunch at McDonalds (Chicken Nuggets and French Fries) we went to Sidetracks for ice cream. She had Superman just because she liked the many colors.
When we returned home we all went swimming for awhile and then she watched a movie. Just before dinner the Evans arrived with Connor and Delaney, so she got to go swimming again with the other kids. After dinner we moved some more dirt with her John Deere tractor, then took a ride on Grandpa's tractor and moved some pea gravel. Then we played basketball, except with a very small ball, so it got stuck in the net. I got the garage broom out to knock it down and she picked it up and ordered me to keep shooting baskets while she swept the entire driveway. She was very convinced that we needed to have clean concrete. After all that sweaty work, she took a bath in Grandma's personalized tub.
Finally, all that work and play caught up and she called it a night. You know there is another Caitlin sleeping picture coming, don't you? She's just so darn precious when she's asleep!
Tomorrow we say farewell, but thank Stephanie and Bryan for making the trip and for making our week. We enjoyed our time together and will miss them and especially our little helper. We wish them safe travels and look forward to our next get together.
Love to all,
Charlie
