I'll take him. It is cooler and rainy here but the flowers needed a drink so it is ok. Supposed to be near 70 tomorrow. Vicki arrived safely in Germany. Tomorrow is her granddad's 90 birthday. They put it in the paper and the mayor and all the town dignitaries visit and then they are having a party. Miss all of you. Love to all.

An offer for YOU....
This is a rare opportunity that I’m sure many of you will want to jump at immediately. For a limited time, I am offering any one of you the “honor” of taking a certain 4 year old little boy on loan for a week or six. This little bundle of energy is sure to keep you smiling, and will most definitely allow you to sleep better at night than you ever have before. But hurry….this offer is about to expire. :O)

Love,
One exhausted, but oh so blessed mama
p.s. THANK GOODNESS we are out the door on the way to preschool right now. I might not be able to handle 5 minutes more of his constant chatter this morning! :O)

Weekend Fun
Glad to hear that the Deacon is enjoying the Elky. I can visualize that smile on his face; I think I've seen it a time or two. Wish I was closer so I could join with the Cobra. At least I can start it now and think about getting it spiffed up and ready for cruisin' season. Need to do a couple of repairs and upgrades to get it into top shape.
Today I need to assemble my new pressure washer so I can clean up the tractor and take to the dealer for it's 50 hour service. I need to do it soon because the grass needs mowing! Spring is here and I love it!!!
A great week to all!

Charlie

Great weekend for us, too!
We, too, had a great weekend. We had a ton of fun celebrating Alexander's adoption day yesterday. He also had a program at his preschool church this morning that was fun! More info and pictures to come on my blog in the next day or two. Marina has her kindergarten musical tomorrow night that we are looking forward to. Seems like the kids are beginning their end of school year activities already! Alexander has 3 weeks left and Marina has 4!
I'm glad the blog is getting some use already! Great to read the updates. Sounds like the boys are all enjoying their toys! I'm sure Mike is jealous! Have a great week!
Hugs,
Kristen

Well Don certainly enjoyed the weekend. We went cruisin Friday night and today to Quaker Steak and there were a lot of cars there to see. He is so excited about doing this and it is nice to see him so happy. He primed the rims and hoepfully this week will paint them and then get the new tires on. He even burned rubber once or twice. Some people never grow up. Thw weather has been wonderful and I got some new plants planted. Still have to put the knobs on the new buffet but I love it. Sad to go back to work tomorrow. Love to all!

Wet and Wild Weekend
Connie and I have just returned from our visit to the Van Ambergs for the weekend. Kent and Janet joined us and we arrived Friday afternoon and immediately started working on recoverring and repairing Joel's dock on the bayou. We had nylon tow cables, tie downs and comealongs stretched out from two trees to the posts to support it. We got pretty well along on Friday and were happy because the forecast was for thunderstorms on Saturday. We enjoyed a great dinner at our favorite restaurant in Grand Haven (Snug Harbor) and some socialization in the evening. Saturday we woke to sunny skies that got increasingly ominous starting in mid-morning. We finished the dock project between rain showers and then ran some errands. While we were working, the ladies went shopping in Holland and their first stop was Great Lakes Home Furnishings where Connie bought a side chair to go with the new sofa we bought there last week. The guys picked that up after running another errand and then we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon complete with a movie and a couple of beers. We heard it raining all night and awoke to a very wet outdoors. Joel said the bayou water level had risen by at least 3 inches overnight and a pair of swans on the other side of the bayou were busy remodeling their nest, making it higher to avoid the high water. As we left this morning there was standing water everywhere; we think there were multiple inches of water. We didn't get nearly that much water at home, but there is evidence of heavy rain and high winds. We heard a forecast on the radio yesterday for severe storms with 70 MPH winds and up to 2 inch hail. Fortunately, it doesn't appear that there is any hail damage. On the doorstep were packages that had been delivered Friday including a new Optima battery for the Cobra and repair parts for the washer. The battery has been installed and I'll be starting on the washer later this evening after a trip to the hardware store.
We have many projects in mind for this week, including putting together our bedroom with the new furniture that we bought. Connie thinks she's finally found what she wanted for the room.
Have a great week and we'll monitor here to keep up with all of you. Many thanks Kristen for getting this off the ground. I'm looking forward to watching it mature!

Got confused on going to this site. Eric guessed it was me who didn't sign the post. Have to have Don show me how to post pictures and then we will be in business. We went crusiing last night and Don was in heaven. Still have to ge the new tires on but he got the wheels sand blasted and now they have to be painted. The car drives much better with the new brakes and makes it feel safer. He just loves that car.

Summertime
Let the summer begin!!!! We've had our first really nice couple days here this year. Even though we've been teased with weather in the 70's for a day or two, we've finally cracked 80 here and approached 90 for a moment. Unfortunately it's going to rain all weekend....so we'll probably float away.
Stephanie is currently on her way home from her most peaceful week at work in a long time!! Too bad the plant is going to be running next week....that means she'll be back to more long hours and pointless meetings. Oh well....at least the plant's still in operation.
Caitlin is enjoying her last few weeks of school. We brought snacks this past Thursday and I made cupcakes for the occasion. Miss Carol was confused by the cupcakes as it wasn't anyone's birthday. However, I thought cupcakes was a better option than Cheerios with mini-marshmallows in a baggie. I can't believe what these parents try to pass off as a "healthy snack"!
My bowling season came to an end last week mercifully. We narrowly missed the playoffs this year which was fine because our team had had enough for a season. However, I bowled in a 9 pin no-tap tournament (9 pin count=strike) on Tuesday with a couple friends from the league. I bowled with the same team last year and we won the tournament. So, we decided to try to defend our title. We didn't do as well as we did last year, but we were 110 pins ahead of the closest team, so our prospects look good.
Anyway, thanks for putting this together Kristen!! We should have fun doing this as a group. I look forward to hearing from everyone and I hope we don't bore everyone with our dull news.
