Caitlin's Journal: A Day at Grandma's

We are blessed by a visit from the Andersons this week. They arrived last night before we returned from our visit to Walled Lake. We were greeted by very big hugs from Caitlin, which was the perfect start to their visit. Today, Caitlin was VERY busy and almost fell asleep at dinner. What made her so tired? Grandma wore her out. And she played helper for Grandpa as I planted about 30 plants that we brought from GG's and Bordine's yesterday. Here are a few pictures of today's adventures:

Driving the tractor with Grandpa:

Planting in the garden:

Watering the plants:

Grandpa's Helper:

Picking blackberries with Grandma and Mama:

Helping Grandma make Whip with the berries:

A cute and silly smile at the end of the day:

Ssound asleep and probably dreaming of more new adventures for tomorrow:

I think what really wore her out was the trip to the store with the ladies. She scored a pair of pink work gloves that Grandma bought for her. Hopefully, you can see them in the pictures above.

All in all, it was a good day's work. Here is the result in the big garden:

We are pleased with the progress, but understand there will always be room for more!

Enough work for this week. Now we can focus on fun things to do with an excited 4-year old!

Love to all,

Charlie

Looks like you were quite busy. I sure could use a helper like Caitlin. Now it's playtime. Have a good week.
