She's a Fisherperson Now!

Caitlin came to visit and really wanted to go fishing.  Our neighbor has a pond stocked with various species of fish, so we went to the store on Monday and bought a fishing rod & reel and then some nightcrawlers for bait.  Then we went next door to see if the fish were biting.  After a couple of hours, she had caught about 20 fish and was very excited about it.  Here is her first ever catch, a small bluegill:

And another:

Here is the largest fish she caught yesterday.  A very nice sized bluegill:

Today she wanted to fish again, so we went back and she caught a few more bluegills.  Then she wanted to catch "a big bass".  That's a tall order with a hook on a bobber fishing with a piece of nightcrawler.  But she kept fishing and her wish came true.....she caught a largemouth bass:

Pretty nice fish, huh?  Bryan and I are going golfing in the morning and her mom and grandma both refuse to take her fishing while we golf.  So maybe we'll be going out tomorrow afternoon.  And Thursday morning for sure, weather permitting!

Love to all!
