A couple of things to address, but I made it out and back with no problems.  Temperature stayed at a solid 160 for the whole trip, including at idle.  Must be firing on all eight makes it run cooler!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

I just sent Bryan and Caitlin off to their 2nd Daddy/Daughter dance.  It was very fun when they went two years ago and they missed it last year because we were at Disney World.  They are both very much looking forward to it and they got all dolled up for the event.  I have attached a couple of pictures that I took of them before they left.  I hope they have as much fun as they did last time!

Disney World Day #5: Happy Birthday Xavier!!

We spent today at the Magic Kingdom.  But before leaving, Xavier opened his birthday presents from the family.

The only downside was he didn't have much time to play with his new toys before we had to leave for the Magic Kingdom.

Once there, we started the morning with the transformation of the birthday boy into Jake, the Neverland Pirate.  Here is the "reveal":

We mostly did what Xavier wanted to do at the Magic Kingdom and ended our day with a yummy dinner at Chef Mickey's celebrating with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald.

After returning to our rooms, the kids had some time to play with Xavier's and their new toys.  Then it was off to bed and dreams of an exciting birthday experience:

Disney World Day #4

Today we visited the Hollywood Studios park.  For the big kids, the hit of the day was the Rockin' Roller Coaster.  It was the first ride for Mike, Marina and Alexander and they liked it well enough to ride twice.  In fact, Alexander now says this is his favorite ride at WDW.  The big news flash for the day was:  Xavier finally met Jake (of the Neverland Pirates)!!

After a fun day at the park, the kids returned to the hotel to swim before dinner.  Xavier has just gone to bed for the last time as a 4-year old.  We think he's excited in anticipation of tomorrow!

Fun at Disney World Day # 3

We spent today at the Animal Kingdom.

We started with a yummy breakfast buffet with Disney characters.

We ended with one of our favorites from the day, The Festival of the Lion King show, with audience participation:

After leaving Animal Kingdom, we had dinner at Downtown Disney and then came back to the rooms for an earlier than usual night.  Weather was quite cool today, but dry and much warmer than we hear it is at home!

Fun at Disney World Day #2

Today we visited Epcot.  It was lightly raining when we got off the bus and stood in line to enter, but it stopped soon after and was dry for the rest of the day.  We enjoyed our day and returned to our rooms around 9:45 pm.  Here is a great Froehlich family picture from the day:

Happy Birthday Mike (and me)!

Last night, after arriving in Florida and unwinding from our travels, Kristen and Connie presented birthday presents to Mike and me.  We each got a "scroll" announcing that we would be taking 6 laps this morning in exotic cars.  Wooohoooo!  So we all got up early this morning and proceeded to the Walt Disney Speedway.  Over the course of a couple of hours and some instruction by the crew, Mike and I took our laps and exited with big smiles on our faces!  Mike drove a Ferrari 458 Italia.  I drove a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera.  What a rush!

There were two Ferraris; Mike drove a red one.

There's no question that this ranks up at the very top of birthday gifts for both of us!  Many thanks to our spouses for making this a VERY memorable birthday!

Happy Birthday Silas!!

Happy Birthday little man.  We were thinking of you and talking about your birthday yesterday on our way home from Iowa.  Sorry that this is a day late.  We were on a fast track when we arrived at home and didn't get to the computer last night.

Halloween Fun in Iowa

We've had some fun with Caitlin with a Halloween theme this week.  Yesterday, Connie, Stephanie and Caitlin visited Vala's Pumpkin Patch near Omaha and had a great time with a lot of fun activities.  Then she picked out a pumpkin to take home for her Jack-O-Lantern.  Here are a few pictures.

Today after school she and Grandma carved her pumpkin.  What a cute pair!

happens to also be a Buckeyes alum and avid fan. His basement is done in scarlet and
